The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire will this summer provide the backdrop to a prestigious, Royal Air Force military ceremony in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen.

Around 5,000 invited guests, representing current serving members of the Royal Air Force and its various associations and charities, will be invited to the private ceremony on Friday, July 11, to watch the presentation of new Queen’s Colours to both the Royal Air Force in the UK and the Royal Air Force Regiment.  More info...

TV Coverage
The event is soley for the Royal Air Force and invited guests. However, you will be able to see the event on BBC1 from 1415 to 1500 on the 11 July 2008. The first 15mins will be a recorded highlights package voiced over by Kate Silverton and this will be followed by the live element from 1430 until 1500 which will be voiced over by Dan Snow plus a number of live guest interviews.  For TV lisitings, see the BBC website.
